Own a stock before its ex-dividend date and the next payment is yours; buy on or after it and that payment goes to the seller. Here is who goes ex-dividend among widely-held major stocks in the coming weeks, as of October 19, 2026.

Div / share is ONE upcoming payment, not the annual total. A date marked PROJECTED is estimated from the company's payment rhythm (its last ex-date plus its usual cycle) and is not yet declared; all dates come from live market data and companies can change them, confirm with the company's investor page before acting on a date.

What the ex-dividend date actually means

The ex-dividend date is set by the exchange, one business day before the record date. On the morning a stock goes ex-dividend, its price typically opens lower by roughly the payment amount, the dividend has left the share and is on its way to whoever held yesterday. Buying the day before the ex-date just to collect the payment rarely gains anything for exactly that reason.
